I'd have been 7-years-old for 9 days.
Dear Diary, Today was the best day of my life. guess what, my mom made a tent out of my bed and my best fariend came over and his name is RD and I got to see the Milkyway.
Love, Emily.
To prove to you how pathetically alone I was as a kid, RD wasn't my friend, he was my 11-years-older-than-me brother's. I used to read a lot, and believe it or not by my spelling at grammar, but I was a really smart little kid, so everyone around me thought I was weird, so growing up, I didn't have many friends. Which is why until my brother graduated High School in 2005, his friends were my friends.

Sunday April 11th, 2004.
Why I put the exact date on the bottom and signed it that way, I'll never know. Oh, and when I was little, I had this fascination with wrestling, I used to play the game on my older brother's Nintendo 64 all the time. My two favourite people were this woman named Chyna (I think it was spelled like that), and this man called The Undertaker. Eventually I grew out of the wrestling phase...and moved on to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I was a badass kid. c: Oh, and in case you're wondering, I didn't literally mean 'ants,' insects don't give out Easter gifts the last time I checked.
Love, your friend, Emily.

Dear Diary, I'm not haveing a good day. My mom dose not trust me anymore I have a habit of suching my thumb and every time I don't I get something, my mom yells at me to get me to stop craying.
Love, Emily.
I love the way my brain used to think, it's so random, ha. And on a sidenote, I continued to suck my thumb until I was eight. My mom sewed up this little glove that tied around my hand and covered my thumb, just my thumb, and that finally broke my habit.

Dear Diary, Today is a graet Day. I am watching Mary Popisse. It is good. now I am watching The Teletubbies. and thats all for Today.
Love, Emily.
I actually lost my copy of Mary Poppins a few years later. It either got lost when we moved, or I still have it but it's hidden in my movie cabinet, either way, I can't find it.

I'm beginning to think I discovered acid during 2003, because I started out sounding so intelligent for a 6-year-old, and suddenly my spelling just went to shit. Typo corrections so you can better understand this if you're having trouble decoding this: *played, *crazy, *Eights, *played, *jungle, *animals, *dinner, *are, *pancakes, *scrambled, *eggs.
And in case you're wondering, Crazy Eights is a card game.

I just realised my Google Chrome has been auto-correcting me whenever I didn't capitalize something. That defeats the purpose of typing it how it's written. So I fixed that. And in case you're wondering, here's the corrections on typos: *us *Bottle *Pops *driver *us.

Love, Emily.
As you can see, I had a system for writing my diaries, I usually started and ended with the same thing. Oh, and in case you're wondering, in that second sentence, I said I had to wear my winter coat, and I disliked the zipper.

Dear Diary, Today was a great day. I am down at the elevator. I am with my mom, and nobody is hauling. Except for Swartsbaugh. He is the only one hauling this morning. And that is all for today.
Love, Emily.
Backstory time: My mom used to work at a grain elevator, she weighed in semi trucks as they brought in either corn or beans to be stored in a grain bin. It was located literally ten feet from my house, so I could walk there after school, or go with her on days when I didn't have school. *Swartzbaugh is the name of one of the drivers.

Dear Diary, Today was a great day. I went cousin's house I played with her dog Sam and I played Brother Brendan and that's all for today.
Love, Emily.
And after that I put a bunch of Trix cereal stickers I'd gotten from the box. In case you're wondering, I think the part that says 'I played Brother Brendan' is supposed to say 'I played with her brother, Brendan." In extreme cases of horrible grammar, I'll try to translate to keep confusing from arising. Oh, and here's a picture of the stickers:

About This Blog
I've stumbled upon my old dairies, from a long time ago up until last year. I feel like someday I might throw them out, so I thought, why not just chronologically post them on here? I can keep them this way.
So this blog will contain all my diary entries, exactly the way they're written, no editing on spelling, so that way you can see how I spelled as a child. Considering the entries go up until last year, you'll see me slowly spiraling into some kind of depression, don't worry. I'm happy now. I really am. Life turned around, but I stopped writing in those diaries a while ago, so there's no record that my life turned around. Let's do this. c:
I'll put the date at the top, of course.
